24-CannonAlongTrail

Cannon & possible "live" shell on the trail to the German Lighthouse. The Germans had control of Palau until the end of WW1. Then the Japanese took over and had the islands well fortified during WW2. The Allies, after wiping out the Japanese boats and planes in a massive airstrike, decided not to send in ground forces, instead bypassing the islands on their way to Japan. Later the Japanese left alot of artillary behind, and it's still there.
